Who, What, and Why
Sustainable Mississippi is about the Mississippi Ave. business district in Boise neighborhood in Portland, OR, and keeping it a great place for everyone to live in, work in, and visit. Through this website and the Facebook group we aim to raise awareness about sustainable practices and engage in dialogue with the community to strengthen and build connections.

I grew up in Boise, ID (and somehow ended up in Boise neighborhood), got my BA in English at the University of Oregon, then moved up to Portland seven years ago. I have work experience at a planning and design firm and I now work in the energy efficiency industry. I've served on the board of the Boise Neighborhood Association since Jan 2014, as Communications Chair and other responsibilities/roles.
